About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key part in delivering patient care, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role is designed for students who want to gain professional experience while contributing to patient health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Support the pharmacy team with daily operations, including inventory and workflow management.
- Help patients stay healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
