About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store to help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services. This role provides real-world training to supplement your academic studies and prepares you for success in a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Assist in delivering health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Learn about the expanding roles of a community pharmacist, including disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, or Public Health.
- A commitment to meeting all privacy requirements and maintaining customer confidentiality.
- A desire to enhance communication skills with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- An interest in learning the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time with rolling terms.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
