About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly pharmacy student position located in Vernon, British Columbia. The role offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, focusing on health, beauty, and convenience services. Students will gain exposure to the expanding roles of the community pharmacist while working in a locally owned and operated store environment.
What you'll do#
- Support community pharmacy operations while keeping the customer at the center of your work.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience and acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Learn about OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Enhance communication skills by interacting with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards.
- An interest in gaining real-world training in a community pharmacy setting.
