About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to provide real world training that complements your academic studies. This role focuses on the expanding responsibilities of the community pharmacist and prepares interns for success in the field.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
- Knowledge of over the counter (OTC) products.
- A commitment to meeting privacy and confidentiality standards.

- Pay: $25.20 - $32.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
