About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support our pharmacy team by providing direct customer service and assisting with daily operations. This role involves working under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure accurate medication dispensing and patient care. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment while supporting the needs of our customers.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling and assist customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication and bag filled prescriptions for delivery.
- Provide immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Process third-party insurance information and contact insurance companies or prescribers as needed.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for fill or refill.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by checking incoming orders, stocking shelves, and returning unused stock bottles.
- Maintain a clean department and report any safety risks or incidents to management.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Capacity to manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Location: Irmo, South Carolina.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
