About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a pharmacy student at a community retail pharmacy. The role provides practical experience in a real-world setting to supplement academic studies in pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, or health administration. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations while keeping the customer at the center of your work.
- Help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Participate in training to build skills in disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Health Administration.
- An interest in developing patient counseling skills and enhancing communication with patients and healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Ability to uphold strict privacy and confidentiality standards.

- Compensation: $23.20 to $30.25 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
