About the role#
This position offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, designed to prepare future pharmacists for success. You will work in a locally owned and operated store, gaining hands-on training that complements your academic background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Health Administration. The role focuses on delivering health, beauty, and convenience services while supporting the store's health and wellness philosophy.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge customers as they approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Gain practical knowledge in disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Enhance communication skills with patients, employees, and other health care professionals.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Health Administration.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Understanding of drug therapy and patient counseling principles.
- Familiarity with customer confidentiality and consent management practices.
- Ability to engage professionally with customers and team members.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $27.50 per hour, depending on experience and location.
