About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing a career as a pharmacist. You will work within a community pharmacy setting to support the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services. This role provides real-world training to complement your academic studies and introduces you to the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including consent management and customer confidentiality.
- Maintain high visibility to the public while on duty.
- Deliver health and wellness services to the community.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Learn the operational requirements of managing a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Ability to manage sensitive customer information and confidentiality.
- A focus on providing high-quality service to every customer.
