About the role#

The Hill offers an editorial internship providing exposure to national politics and Congress. Interns participate in a professional news environment, contributing to stories that appear on The Hill website and in print.

What you'll do#

• Write and report on news stories.
• Assist reporters with ongoing projects.
• Attend assignments at the Capitol and within the halls of Congress.
• Manage various clerical duties.
• Provide support at events hosted by The Hill.

What you'll need#

• Demonstrated ability to write and report effectively.
• Experience working under deadline pressure.
• Familiarity with national politics.
• Strong clerical skills.
• Ability to assist at professional events.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Journalism, Communications, Political Science, English, or Media Studies.

• Modality: On-site.
• Status: Full-time, paid position at $18.40 per hour.
• Note: The company covers in-town travel expenses for work assignments, but interns are responsible for their own lodging and travel.
