About the role#
The KOIN 6 internship program offers college students a look into broadcast and digital media. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside professionals in various departments. This program is designed for students in journalism, communications, marketing, media studies, or business administration who need to earn academic credit. Placements typically last 8 to 12 weeks, requiring a commitment of 16 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with production for lifestyle and entertainment shows, including script writing and guest coordination.
- Shadow professionals across news, sports, and production roles to understand broadcast operations.
- Create and post multimedia content for digital platforms.
- Help coordinate marketing and promotional activities.
- Develop professional skills in phone etiquette and sales presentations.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time college or university student entering your junior or senior year.
- You are required to receive academic credit for this internship and provide a letter from your advisor confirming your status and credit eligibility.
- Journalism interns must demonstrate exceptional English and grammar skills.
- Production roles require completed coursework in TV production and a working knowledge of relevant software.
- You should be able to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
