About the role#
WFRV-TV Local 5 is offering an internship within the news department. This position allows you to practice journalism skills while assisting staff with daily news gathering operations. Hours are flexible and can be coordinated with the station.
What you'll do#
- Pitch news stories and story ideas.
- Write content for newscasts and the station website.
- Answer phones and make beat calls.
- Shadow reporters and photographers.
- Conduct and set up interviews.
- Log recorded interviews for reporters.
- Develop your skills in photography, editing, and producing.
What you'll need#
- You must be able to receive college credit for this internship.
- Coordination with your faculty advisor or professor is required.
- Availability to work 18 to 20 hours per week.

- This role is based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- This is an on-site, unpaid internship.
