About the role#
NewsNation is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term to support editorial newsgathering and production at a national cable news network. Interns will work within a bureau or on a specific production team. The program includes trainings and workshops designed to provide insight into the editorial, business, programming, and technological operations of a 24-hour news organization.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and pitch stories.
- Identify prospective guests for news segments.
- Source video content from social media.
- Perform desktop video editing.
- Create graphics and write scripts.
- Shadow various editorial staff members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Academic background in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or related fields.
- A curious, passionate, and energetic approach to work.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player.
- Willingness to accept feedback and constructive criticism.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $18.40 per hour.
