About the role#
We are looking for a curious and organized Web Content Strategy Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will support digital projects for mission-driven organizations, gaining practical experience in research, writing, and content organization. We provide the training and mentorship to help you understand how content strategy aligns with UX, design, and development within a digital agency.
What you'll do#
- Support website content audits and inventories to identify outdated or underperforming content.
- Draft and edit web content based on audience insights, search data, and brand guidelines.
- Map and structure content for modular, component-based websites.
- Enter, organize, and track content within management and workflow systems.
- Prepare research, findings, and materials for client presentations and workshops.
- Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with team members and clients.
- Take ownership of a small content strategy assignment under the guidance of a senior strategist.
What you'll need#
- Strong skills in writing, editing, research, and communication.
- Ability to stay organized while working with detailed information.
- An interest in how information is structured, simplified, and presented.
- A habit of asking thoughtful questions and an eagerness to learn new tools and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate your needs.
- A degree or recent graduation in a field related to websites, UX, content strategy, digital communications, nonprofit communications, writing, or editing.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote or based in Washington, DC.
- Term: Fall 2026 (16 to 20 weeks).
- Schedule: Part-time, 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- This is a paid internship. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
