About the role#
As a Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across the financial services industry. You will receive hands-on experience and direct access to clients at various management levels. You will be assigned a Performance Advisor to support your professional development throughout the summer. Your work will focus on internal audits, compliance projects, and financial reporting controls to help clients mitigate potential risks.
What you'll do#
- Sit in on client meetings and support consulting projects.
- Prepare reports on services performed and discuss recommendations with clients.
- Complete projects efficiently according to timelines and critical dates.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze data and document findings.
- Attend relevant conferences, trainings, and meetings.
- Travel to client locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and solid project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- CPA certification or progress toward it is preferred but not required.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $29 to $35 per hour.
