About the role#
Wolf & Company, P.C. is hiring an Accounting Intern for our Outsourced Finance and Accounting team. This role provides hands-on experience with financial reporting, month-end processes, and client operations. You will work with cloud-based accounting systems to support various clients across multiple industries.
What you'll do#
- Assist with bookkeeping, transaction coding, and accounts payable or receivable processes.
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Help review general ledger activity and maintain accounting records.
- Support month-end close procedures by preparing workpapers and investigating discrepancies.
- Organize client financial documents and assemble monthly reporting packages.
- Work within cloud-based platforms to manage data imports, exports, and system implementations.
- Support process documentation and assist with client onboarding projects.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework with a strong academic record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Previous office or customer service experience and basic knowledge of accounting software are helpful.
- Interest in professional services and involvement in accounting organizations.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The term runs from January through April 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- The role operates on a hybrid basis, with an expectation to work in the Boston office at least one day per week.
