About the role#
The News Intern position provides an opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of newsroom operations at WREG in Memphis. This internship is designed to help students develop practical skills in their area of choice while shadowing experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks related to news production, news gathering, and social media content creation.
- Gain hands-on experience by participating in daily newsroom activities.
- Shadow and learn from industry professionals.
What you'll need#
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for storytelling and connecting with the community.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
