About the role#
The Digital internship at DC News Now offers an opportunity to explore career interests and gain practical experience in broadcast media production and distribution. This program is designed to provide meaningful educational and work experiences for students pursuing degrees in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
What you'll do#
- Attend news meetings to observe editorial processes.
- Transcribe interviews for news content.
- Assist reporters and producers with daily tasks.
- Research stories for both online and broadcast platforms.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to learn a variety of assignments and tasks.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: On-site at the station in the News Department.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Duration: Up to 12 weeks, 20-30 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns are not entitled to wages, compensation, or benefits.
