About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in news and broadcasting at WTNH/News 8 during the Fall 2026 semester. You will work alongside experienced professionals to develop your skills and earn credit toward your college degree.

What you'll do#

Assist in day-to-day operations.
Support news gathering activities.
Prepare content for broadcasting.
Participate in team meetings.
Learn from experienced industry professionals.

What you'll need#

Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
Academic focus in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or Political Science.
Strong interest in news and broadcasting.
Desire to gain practical experience in a professional environment.

Location: New Haven, Connecticut.
Term: Fall 2026.
Modality: On-site.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for academic credit.
