About the role#
The Fox 2 and KPLR 11 News internship program provides students with real-world experience within a television news department. This position is designed for aspiring broadcast journalists seeking hands-on training in a local newsroom environment. This is an unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with reporters, photojournalists, and producers on daily news operations.
- Engage in a supervised, meaningful learning experience tailored to your academic requirements.
- Follow the instructions of station employees and cooperate with the news team.
- Maintain the confidentiality of company data, trade secrets, and business information.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior studying broadcast journalism, video production, or a related communications field.
- Ability to receive college credit for the internship.
- Advanced skill level to manage the complexity of newsroom projects.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Previous internship experience is considered a plus.
