    About the role#

    WJZY, Queen City News, is seeking an intern to develop skills in broadcast and digital media. This role is designed for current college students who are driven to succeed and eager to learn all aspects of the news industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Write content for broadcast and digital platforms.
    • Shoot and edit video footage.
    • Manage the assignment desk and monitor emergency scanners.
    • Contribute to daily newscasts.
    • Assist with daily news gathering and development.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be a current college student.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • An eagerness to learn all aspects of broadcast and digital journalism.
    • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.

    • Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
