About the role#
WCBD TV, an NBC affiliate owned by Nexstar Media Group, is seeking a Commercial Production Intern. This role offers a supervised, hands-on learning experience for students in their final year of study. You will work directly with our team in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to support daily broadcast and commercial operations.
What you'll do#
- Set up and break down lighting and camera equipment for Lifestyle segment shoots.
- Download and ingest raw footage into our editing software.
- Prepare interview footage by trimming it into smaller segments to help the production team work more efficiently.
- Review near-finalized segments to catch errors like misspellings or missed jump-cuts.
- Provide additional support for commercial production tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a senior in your final year of post-high school study.
- We are looking for students majoring in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
- You should have an advanced skill level to handle the complexity of our projects.
- We value collaborative workers who are eager to learn and grow.

- This is an on-site position based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
- The role is paid and full-time.
- Internships follow a rolling schedule based on the requirements of your college program.
