About the role#
Apogem Capital is seeking a Tax Intern for our 11-week Summer Internship Program. This role is designed for students who want to gain practical experience in tax, accounting, and financial services. You will work with tax professionals and gain exposure to partnership and private equity tax work. This is a paid, full-time position that offers insight into how tax considerations support private equity businesses.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation and review of workpapers supporting partnership tax returns.
- Support the tracking of tax capital accounts and allocations of income and loss.
- Compile and organize information for federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Support tax compliance, reporting, and other projects based on team and business needs.
- Participate in projects that provide insight into the tax function within a financial services firm.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work full-time for the entire 11-week program from May through August 2027.
- Current enrollment in an accounting, finance, economics, or business administration program.
- Completion of at least one accounting course or familiarity with basic accounting concepts.
- An interest in learning about tax, accounting, and private equity.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
- No prior tax or internship experience is required.
