About the role#
This paid internship offers undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience at a national cable news network. Interns will work within a NewsNation program, bureau, or production team from September 8 through December 4, 2026. Participants will gain insight into the editorial, business, programming, and technological operations of a 24-hour news organization through daily tasks, training sessions, and workshops.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and pitch stories for news coverage.
- Identify prospective guests for segments.
- Source video content from social media platforms.
- Perform desktop video editing.
- Create graphics and write scripts.
- Shadow professionals in various editorial roles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Academic background in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Public Health.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
- Receptiveness to feedback and constructive criticism.
