About the role#
This internship provides a look into the broadcast industry through the Sports Programming and Digital departments at Bonneville Phoenix. You will split your time between creating digital content for ArizonaSports.com and supporting the programming team at 98.7 FM Arizona Sports. This is a paid, part-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Write and publish sports news stories using press releases, interviews, raw audio, and social media.
- Learn the strategy and planning required to maintain a sports news website.
- Observe and interact with sports talk show producers and hosts.
- Pull, edit, and use audio for radio shows.
- Produce and edit sports interviews.
- Follow the process of a talk show from initial planning to final execution.
What you'll need#
- Current registration as a college or university student.
- Eligibility to receive internship credit through your school.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
- The schedule involves 15 to 25 hours per week.
- Compensation is $15.65 per hour.
