About the role#
WHO 13 is seeking an aspiring broadcast professional to gain practical experience within a newsroom environment. This internship provides exposure to the daily operations of television production and news gathering.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily tasks at the assignment desk.
- Learn the fundamentals of show production.
- Develop and assemble news packages.
- Report stories for on-air broadcast.
- Contribute content to online, mobile, and social media platforms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or higher in a college undergraduate program.
- Academic focus in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism.
- Ability to report stories across multiple media platforms.
- Willingness to learn professional production techniques.

- This position is located in Des Moines, Iowa.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is an unpaid internship.
