    About the role#

    This internship provides practical television experience within the newsroom at WHO 13. It is designed for college undergraduates interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist at the assignment desk.
    • Learn the fundamentals of show production.
    • Assemble news packages.
    • Report stories for on-air broadcast.
    • Contribute content to online, mobile, and social media platforms.

    What you'll need#

    • Minimum junior status at the start of the internship.
    • Strong interest in broadcast journalism.
    • Ability to report stories across multiple platforms.
    • Willingness to learn professional production techniques.
    • Current enrollment in a degree program such as Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.

    • Location: Des Moines, Iowa.
