About the role#
GBH is seeking a Learning and Workforce Development Intern to join our Human Resources team for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers hands-on experience in training design, employee engagement, and workforce development within a public media organization. You will work alongside HR professionals and business leaders to support employee growth and development initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Create and update training materials, job aids, and e-learning content.
- Design communications and promotional materials for employee learning programs.
- Support the planning and delivery of virtual and in-person workshops.
- Help manage the Learning Management System (LMS) including course administration and reporting.
- Track participation metrics to measure program effectiveness.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to identify improvements.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects related to employee development.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Interest in employee development, training, or human resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to help others learn and grow.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026 (October 5th to December 11th).
- Modality: This position is hybrid, requiring staff to work onsite at least two days each week, specifically Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $17.00 per hour.
- Requirements: Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wi-Fi.
