About the role#
WROC-TV/News 8 offers a year-round internship program designed to help students apply classroom theory to practical experience. This program provides exposure to the radio and television broadcasting industry across departments including News, Promotion, Digital Media, Sales, Weather, and Sports. Interns work with a management team focused on teaching and mentorship to help meet academic and career goals.
What you'll do#
- Experience firsthand the reality of working in the broadcasting industry.
- Test creative talent and exercise analytical skills.
- Increase understanding of broadcasting operations and industry trends.
- Gain meaningful educational and work experience.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current enrollment in an accredited school, college, or university.
- Ability to provide a letter from your school confirming that you will receive academic credit for the internship.
