About the role#
WROC-TV/News 8 offers a year-round internship program for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. This program provides exposure to broadcasting operations and trends across various departments, including News, Promotion, Digital Media, Sales, Weather, and Sports. The internship is an unpaid, educational opportunity designed to help students meet their academic and career goals.
What you'll do#
- Experience the reality of working in the broadcasting industry firsthand.
- Test creative talent and exercise analytical skills.
- Gain meaningful work experience by participating in daily station operations.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school, college, or university.
- Must provide a letter from your school confirming that you will receive academic credit for the internship.
