About the role#

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. offers internships for students pursuing degrees in broadcast journalism, video production, and related communication fields. Interns are placed within departments such as News, Creative Services, Production, and Community Development to gain hands-on experience. Each intern receives direct supervision and participates in a structured learning program, culminating in a formal written performance review.

What you'll do#

• Commit to a 16-hour weekly schedule over a 15-week period.
• Collaborate with team members on projects of varying complexity.
• Engage in professional tasks including telephone communications, correspondence, and face-to-face discussions.
• Operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, including setup and handling.
• Work in diverse environments, ranging from indoor climate-controlled settings to occasional outdoor assignments in various weather conditions.

What you'll need#

• Current status as a senior in the final year of concentrated study.
• Advanced skill level to manage complex project requirements.
• A collaborative mindset and a strong willingness to learn.
• Previous internship experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to perform tasks involving repetitive movements and work in varying lighting conditions.
