About the role#
This is a year-round, part-time internship position based at the John Deere Harvester Works facility in East Moline, Illinois. You will work alongside Quality Engineers to support factory operations and address quality-related challenges.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers on the shop floor to provide operational support.
- Identify and resolve quality issues by determining root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for manufacturing processes.
- Support quality engineering initiatives within the factory setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Expected graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Ability to work 16 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week during the summer semester.
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn John Deere quality processes.
- Experience with torque tooling is considered an asset.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
