About the role#
This is a year-round, part-time student position supporting the Engine Lab at John Deere. You will work in parallel to your academic schedule to assist with product verification and validation processes.
What you'll do#
- Support the procurement of equipment by managing purchase order requests.
- Assist in the design and procurement of test support hardware.
- Perform end-of-test documentation, including taking photographs and conducting visual inspections of parts.
- Participate in ongoing product verification and validation activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Civil, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Currently registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
- Experience with MS Office software and some exposure to CAD design software.
- Familiarity with Creo or SAP is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Waterloo, Iowa, and requires a daily on-site commute.
- This role is for students who are not on immigration visas.
