About the role#
The Advanced Engineering Student Program offers a year-round, part-time opportunity for students to support technical projects alongside full-time staff. This position is located in Fargo, North Dakota, and requires on-site attendance. Students are expected to work 16 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with the potential for up to 32 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support Advanced Engineering projects through experiments, testing, and data analysis.
- Document experimental results in an organized manner for review by engineering personnel.
- Operate and maintain analytical laboratory equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble electronic modules and fixtures using hand tools.
- Perform additional technical tasks as directed by a supervisor or mentor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering, as well as Physics or Chemistry.
- Completion of at least one year of study in a science or engineering field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- A graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
- Ability to read and understand laboratory operating instructions.
- Capability to work in a team environment and interpret data independently.
- Ability to commute daily to the work location in Fargo, ND.
