About the role#
This is a part-time student position within the Intelligent Solutions Group. You will work alongside design, embedded, and control engineers to solve complex engineering challenges. This role involves using simulation to architect and optimize designs for products used in agriculture and construction. You will collaborate with various platform teams, including Crop Harvesting, Crop Care, and Tractors, to improve product cost, quality, and performance.
What you'll do#
- Use simulation tools, such as MATLAB, Simscape, and Simulink, to develop dynamic performance specifications.
- Propose and evaluate design solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Assess data from lab and field events to identify and resolve design weaknesses.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide strategies and activities related to DSM and analysis.
- Communicate effectively within a team environment to address engineering problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at a local accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Software, Industrial, or Agricultural Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above.
- A strong understanding of and intuition for physics and dynamics.
- Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an inquisitive nature.
Location & details#
- Location: Moline, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rolling, part-time during the academic year with the potential for 40 hours per week during the summer.
