Part-Time Student - DSM

About the role#

This is a part-time, year-round student position within the Intelligent Solutions Group. You will work alongside design, embedded, and control engineers to solve complex engineering challenges. The role focuses on using simulation to architect and optimize designs, contributing to enterprise-wide strategies for DSM and analysis.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with cross-functional platform teams including Crop Harvesting, Crop Care, and Tractors.
• Use simulation tools to architect, optimize, and develop design solutions.
• Propose and evaluate designs to improve product cost, quality, and performance.
• Develop dynamic performance specifications using tools such as MATLAB, Simscape, and Simulink.
• Identify and resolve design weaknesses by applying technical knowledge.
• Assess data from lab and field events to determine impacts on product reliability.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Software, Industrial, or Agricultural Engineering.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above.
• Strong understanding of physics and dynamics.
• Availability to work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
