About the role#
As a software engineering intern, you will apply computer science and mathematical principles to develop software for target applications. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to design and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software. You will also support the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
What you'll do#
- Write software programs and develop test procedures.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and evaluate test results.
- Work with various languages including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, and SQL.
- Operate on platforms such as Windows, Linux, mobile, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts and Sciences, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems.

- This position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
- We do not offer sponsorship for this position.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
