About the role#
As a Lab Technician Intern, you will support our Riverside, CA site by preparing samples and conducting residue analysis for citrus products. You will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and handle a variety of tasks involving chemical testing and equipment maintenance. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and extract residue samples to ensure they are ready for analysis.
- Perform residue analyses with precision while following established protocols.
- Manage reagent inventory, including stocking and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
- Inspect lab equipment regularly and report any issues to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or hold an Associate or Bachelor degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- You have previous experience in a chemistry lab through job experience or academic coursework.
- You are comfortable working with chemicals and can read and interpret Chemical SDS documents.
- You can perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in varied environmental conditions.
