About the role#
This is a part-time student position based in Urbandale, Iowa. You will work year-round in parallel with your school schedule to support product engineering teams. This role is on-site and does not provide relocation assistance.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and optimize robotics, perception, and AI technologies for automation and autonomy.
- Create production-quality software and algorithms for real-time edge-compute platforms.
- Research and evaluate computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms.
- Train multi-modal AI models using camera imagery, machine telemetry, CAN signals, and sensor data.
- Collaborate with robotics, software, systems, and product engineering teams to integrate new capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proficiency with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
- Ability to work 16 to 20 hours weekly during the academic year and 30 to 40 hours weekly during the summer.
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
