About the role#
This is a year-round, part-time student position designed to support our regular staff. You will work alongside your school schedule to build data solutions that improve business processes for the Parameters Team. This role is on-site and requires daily commuting to either Des Moines, Illinois, or Waterloo, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and support data solutions for analytics and reporting.
- Retrieve, transform, and organize data from internal sources to assist with operational decision-making.
- Partner with regional and global stakeholders to understand business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalable data solutions.
- Convert documented manual processes into automated workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- A graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Practical experience with Python or a similar coding language.
- Experience using SQL to query and prepare data.
- Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control tools.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours weekly during the academic year and 30-40 hours during the summer.
- Enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university.
