About the role#
This is a part-time student position within the Accounting Operations team at the John Deere Financial Worldwide Headquarters in Johnston, Iowa. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting core financial functions and collaborating with team members on various accounting projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with monthly and quarterly accounting close activities, including account reconciliations and documentation.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reports, and supporting schedules.
- Participate in initiatives to improve, automate, and streamline accounting processes.
- Collaborate on projects regarding controls, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Use data analytics and reporting tools to support team objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Sophomore or junior status with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Expected graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours weekly during the academic year and 35-40 hours weekly during the summer.
- Ability to commute to the Johnston, Iowa office year-round.
