About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a paid, full-time internship in Washington D.C. This program offers an opportunity to learn about development work and corporate management through on-the-job experience. The internship runs from January 16th to March 15th, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Reconcile cash, interfund, and administrative accounts.
- Conduct research under US GAAP.
- Prepare schedules and audit support documentation.
- Collaborate with your internship supervisor on various assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active graduate student in Accounting or Business Administration.
- You should have knowledge of financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
- You must be fluent in English and have working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
- You need to be proficient in the Microsoft Suite.
- You must have the ability to write and present concise analytical papers.
- You must be a national of an IDB member country.

- This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 40 hours per week.
