About the role#
This is a part-time industrial engineering student position based in Waterloo, Iowa. The program is designed for students to work year-round alongside their academic schedule. You will support the Drivetrain team by assisting with engineering documentation, process implementation, and data analysis related to manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage sequence of events documentation and output standards for product costing and capacity planning.
- Use electronic tools to perform engineering functions, including methods change tracking and reporting.
- Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Participate in the implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Current registration as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Ability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours during the summer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
