About the role#
This position is part of a year-round student program at the John Deere location in Champaign, Illinois. You will work alongside senior developers and other students to support internal software projects. This role requires on-site attendance and is not available to students on immigration visas.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to build full-stack applications.
- Pitch, design, and develop new features for internal software products.
- Work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Increase your schedule to 40 hours per week during the summer semester.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university or college.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- At least 1 year of experience with a programming language.
- An expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Ability to work on-site in Champaign, Illinois.
