About the role#
This position supports the Housing and Residential Education, Asset and Logistics business unit in purchasing, accounts payable, and shipping and receiving. You will work under the direction of staff to complete ongoing assignments, work orders, and projects. This role requires strict attention to detail regarding the accountability of assets, supplies, materials, vehicles, keys, and access cards.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with daily operations, including scanning, filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Conduct inventory of parts and commodities in the warehouse, closets, and storerooms.
- Perform physical tasks that may require trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement.
- Adhere to all safety practices while performing tasks, utilizing provided safety equipment like gloves, eye protection, and back braces as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a USF student.
- A current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the academic year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A valid Florida Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving large vehicles such as pick-up trucks or lift trucks.
- Ability to complete and pass the USF golf cart online training class.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
