About the role#
The University of South Florida is hiring a Student Assistant for the GIS department. This position is open to students pursuing a degree in Business Administration who have a current Federal Work Study award for the 2026-2027 academic year. You will work on-site at the Tampa campus to support administrative and organizational needs.
What you'll do#
- Scan and archive small and large format drawings and documents.
- Manage files and maintain naming standards.
- Assist office staff with daily organizational tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the department.
What you'll need#
- A current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Experience in a data entry role with a focus on detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- General computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
Location & details#
- Location: SVC Building, Tampa Campus, Florida.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule.
- Hours: Business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position.
