About the role#
Young Life is hiring a Student Staff I in Plainfield, Illinois. This is a part-time, paid position with an expected schedule of about 6 hours per week. The role involves active participation in ministry functions, leadership development, and operational support. Please note that Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith and profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
What you'll do#
- Engage in contact work, club, and Campaigners discipleship ministry.
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster spiritual life.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Assist with office administration and data management.
- Participate in team-based ministry strategy for summer and school seasons.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a college degree, ideally in Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or Business Administration.
- Proven relational skills when working with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
