About the role#
Young Life is hiring Student Staff for the Hays County area. This role focuses on ministry, leadership development, and resource management within a religious context. You will work on-site in San Marcos, Texas, as part of a team dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel and supporting adolescent faith growth.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that includes solitude, reflection, prayer, and study of God’s Word.
- Lead teams and individuals in their own spiritual development.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain donor care practices.
- Participate in direct ministry through contact work, club events, and discipleship programs.
- Assist with office administration, expense reporting, and general business tasks.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership to build teams and recruit new members.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a college degree, ideally in Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Proven relational skills when working with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- You must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
