Student Staff - Hays County

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid Student Staff position based in San Marcos, Texas. The role focuses on spiritual and leadership development, resource management, and direct ministry engagement within the local community. Applicants are expected to subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and participate in the organization's Christian mission.

What you'll do#

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life through solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and study of God’s Word.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Raise financial support as directed and maintain effective donor care practices.
• Engage in all levels of contact work, including conducting clubs and discipleship ministry.
• Participate in team-based leadership for school-season and summer camping strategies.
• Assist with office administration, expense reporting, and goal setting while adhering to organizational policies.
• Participate in regional and area-specific training to build ministry skills and personal character.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a college degree, with preference for majors in Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources.
• Proven relational skills when working with both adolescents and adults.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Commitment to the Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as defined by the organization.
