About the role#
The Student Staff position in El Dorado County involves active participation in the spiritual life of the Young Life community. This role focuses on spiritual development, leadership training, resource development, and direct ministry engagement. All employees are required to sign and adhere to the Young Life Statement of Faith, as this position involves serving as an integral part of the Christian mission.
What you'll do#
- Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community and lead individuals or teams in their spiritual development.
- Engage in direct ministry, including contact work, club activities, and discipleship programs.
- Recruit and train volunteer leaders while modeling excellence in ministry activities.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain consistent donor care practices.
- Manage administrative tasks, including expense reporting and adherence to organizational policies.
- Participate in regional and area training to develop ministry skills and personal character.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, with preference for majors such as Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or Sociology.
- Proven relational skills with both adolescents and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Commitment to the Christian mission and the ability to fulfill ministry functions as required.
