About the role#
This year-long internship provides practical work experience for those interested in a career in ministry or looking to grow within a Christ-centered community. You will serve across multiple departments, including maintenance, landscaping, retail, food service, housekeeping, administration, and guest services. This is a full-time, paid position based in Goshen, Virginia. Interns are required to fundraise a portion of their salary.
What you'll do#
- Lead others and serve with excellence in a camp environment.
- Grow as a leader in ministry while developing Christ-like relationships.
- Convey hospitality and respond to the unexpected needs of guests.
- Minister to volunteer high school and college-age young people.
- Work collaboratively to support the mission of the camp.
What you'll need#
- A profession of belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
- Subscription to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
- A minimum age of 20 or at least two years out of high school.
- A teachable spirit and demonstrated faithfulness.
- A sincere hunger to grow in your relationship with Jesus.
- Commitment to the full term of the program.
- Prior experience on summer staff or work crew at a Young Life camp or similar ministry is preferred.
