About the role#
This year-long internship offers practical work experience for those interested in a career with Young Life or who want to live and grow in a Christ-centered community. Interns serve in a variety of departments to support our mission of ministry. You will be expected to fundraise a portion of your salary. This is a full-time position that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through multiple departments including Maintenance, Landscaping, Retail, Food Service, Housekeeping, Administration, and Guest Services.
- Convey Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff members.
- Respond to unexpected guest needs in a prompt and professional manner.
- Represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community.
- Minister to volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend camp.
What you'll need#
- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
- Be at least 20 years old or at least 2 years out of high school.
- Demonstrate a teachable spirit and qualities of faithfulness.
- A willingness to fulfill all ministry functions required by the organization.
- Previous experience on summer staff or work crew at a Young Life camp or other camping ministry is preferred.
