About the role#
This is a part-time position based in Salem, Oregon. You will work under the supervision of the area director to develop ministry skills and personal spiritual maturity. This role involves a combination of direct ministry, leadership development, and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Engage in contact work and conduct Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a local team.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Implement camping strategies for the school season and summer.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Assist with office administration and complete expense reports.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- A personal belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Agreement with the Young Life Statement of Faith.
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- Proven ability to build relationships with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Location & details#
- Location: Salem, Oregon.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Part-time (10 hours per week).
- Compensation: $15.55 to $19.25 per hour, depending on experience and education.
- Requirement: This role includes personal fundraising.
