About the role#
The NYC Summer Intern Experience is a full-time, paid internship program taking place during the summer of 2026. This role is designed for students in fields such as Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Human Resources who are interested in ministry and youth engagement. Please note that this position requires all staff and volunteers to subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and fulfill ministry functions as a servant of God.
What you'll do#
- Serve on a local volunteer leader team to work directly with students.
- Participate in all summer internship cohort meetings.
- Attend all required training sessions.
- Meet with your assigned mentor on a weekly basis.
- Provide evaluative feedback regarding the program to your cohort lead.
What you'll need#

- Availability to meet weekly with a mentor.
- A willingness to serve on a local volunteer leader team with students.
- The ability to provide consistent feedback on the internship experience.
