About the role#
GE Vernova is seeking an HR Intern to join our team in La Prairie. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, administration, and project management. You will work on meaningful tasks that contribute to the success of the HR department and the growth of the business.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate assessments.
- Conduct day-to-day onboarding of new hires and support site-specific orientation programs.
- Work on small HR projects aimed at improving processes and enhancing employee engagement.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, such as document preparation, data entry, and maintenance of HR records in Workday.
- Support the HR team in addressing employee inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate on the coordination of training sessions and the development of site-specific HR standard procedures.
- Assist in organizing HR-related events and activities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Workday is considered an asset.
